    Tübingen Gate, Reutlingen
    Built in the mid-13th century. Timber-framed top dating from 1330. The only surviving main gate of the medieval fortifications. A late Gothic crucifixion group in a trefoil on the exterior.

      The Tübinger Tor (formerly Mettmannstor) in Reutlingen was built in 1235 as part of the city wall and extended in 1330 with a half-timbered tower. Its height is 36 meters. It is one of the seven city gates previously; Of these, apart from the Tübinger Tor, only the garden gate has survived. In the Middle Ages, the gatekeeper lived in the gate, who, in addition to looking out for external enemies, also served as a fire watch.
