Built no later than the beginning of the 13th century. A hospital in the Middle Ages, later primarily a retirement home for the upper middle class. A medieval pillory under the eaves, and above the archway, the hospital coat of arms (16th century) by Hans Motz. Severe damage in the city fire of 1726.

At Pentecost 1849, the meeting of Württemberg and Baden democrats took place in the hospital church. People's education center from 1922 to 1978.

Anyone who wants to experience an exciting and entertaining evening with others during the summer holidays will get their money's worth at the open-air cinema. Every year, the Reutlingen Spitalhof is transformed into an open-air cinema. On thirteen evenings, good and well-known, amusing and challenging, critical and lesser-known films are presented on a 10 by 5 meter screen.
The film selection is not based on box office hits.
