The bike trail has a length of 51 km. The route is marked and is partly gravel.  
Between Hyvinkää and Karkkila, the route runs in a  rural landscape, side roads and on a railway remainings. 
A narrow-gauge railway was built between Hyvinkää and Kyttaja in 1907, which was extended to Karkkila in 1911. The railway was in use for 60 years until 1967.
The steam locomotives that pulled the wagons on the track  were called Pikkupässi.
Signboards with information on track history have been erected at the terminals and intermediate stops of the old railway: Kytäjä, Linnamäki, Läyliäinen, Vaskijärvi and Hunsala.
