The Josef Jäger Hut of the German Red Cross (DRK) at Fuchstanz is an important rescue station in the Taunus. It was built in 1928 and is manned on snowy Sundays to support the winter medical service in the forest area around Fuchstanz and Altkönig. The hut is equipped with a first aid room, a large lounge with an open fireplace, a bedroom, a kitchen and other facilities.
