After having faced the last, very long hairpin bends under Fort Pampalù, the road to the La Riposa refuge becomes a dirt road, its slope becomes less and, exiting the wood, the view finally sweeps across the wide pastures below the La Riposa refuge. With a long traverse the road gradually leads to the vertical of Susa, the environment is that of high altitude pastures: boundless meadows that in June are carpeted with flowers, at the top the slopes of Rocciamelone that seem to rise up to the sky, around grazing cows and isolated mountain pastures. At an altitude of 1870 you meet the junction leading to Alpe Tour, you can also decide to continue uphill towards the Riposa refuge, from this point there are about 300 meters in altitude, but on beautiful sunny days the fatigue is largely compensated from the view! If you decide to go down instead, you follow the dirt road always aiming at Alpe Tour, just below the mountain pasture there is a charming village, a few huts scattered on the slope that becomes increasingly steep, almost all of which have been renovated. You leave the road just below the town, for a path (trail sign 559)
