Haselbach (Lísková)
In the 16th century, the village of Haselbach was a Bavarian military base on the border with Bohemia. It finally became Bohemian in the 18th century and was later also a political community there. After the construction of the Waldmünchen-Klensch road, from 1822 the new border crossing brought economic upswing to the village. In addition, many residents found work in the flourishing glass loops on the Schwarzbach. Others made good money with Paschen. In addition, some of the Haselbachers lived in modest circumstances.
In 1938 the village became part of the German Reich, experienced battles between the US infantry and the 11th German Armored Division in the last days of the war in 1945 and soon afterwards the expulsion of ethnic German residents. During the Cold War, the "Iron Curtain" came first, then the restricted area and finally in 1956 the entire village was deserted.
After the opening of the border in 1990, today's Lísková came into being, which no longer has anything to do with the historical Haselbach. The place mainly offers cheap fuel, liquor and cheap cigarettes. The initially overflowing "Vietnamese market" has lost its importance.
