The Wolfsbachmühle was built in 1700 as a grain mill. In 1901 the mill was shut down and the mill system was dismantled. Since then, the Waldhaus Wolfsbachmühle has been a popular retreat for relaxation. wolfsbachmühle.de/de
The Wolfsbachmühle is located in an idyllic location below Hohegeiß in the Wolfsbachtal and, apart from the sound of the Wolfsbach, there is absolute peace and quiet here. The hotel is family-run and we felt very comfortable here. A very good starting point for hikes, e.g. to Hahnestein (HWN 206) or to the "thick firs" (HWN 45).

The restaurant is closed until further notice as the water supply needs to be renewed from scratch. When that will happen is probably not yet foreseeable.

If you pass by there and want to continue in the direction of Hohegeiß, we recommend the postman path, which starts on the path behind the mill. Good physical condition is important, the path is very steep and narrow, but interesting.
