To recognize it from the more recent Chalet Burraia, located further down the road to Fangacci, it is also called the Casone. Born as a "grand ducal stable", in the 1950s it was transformed into a mountain colony. It is currently managed by the Stia Ski Club; it is entrusted in self-management only to groups of between 15 and 40 units.
