The Goldbek Canal is located in the Winterhude district of Hamburg. It runs from the Rondeel Canal, which is located north of the Alster, to the Stadtpark, where it flows into the Stadtparksee.
The canal was originally a small stream that was expanded in 1914. There are still a few shipyards on the shore today. The depth is only one meter.
Roach and bream in particular populate the canal. In addition to the water lily fields, carp and tench can often be caught well. Walleye, eels and perch are also present. Pike, on the other hand, are rare.
The banks are difficult to access. Boat fishing with the Alster boat fishing license is possible.
