The Pointe-du-Hoc memorial consists of a thin granite column on the edge of the cliff. A beautiful view opens onto the sea and the coast to the Cotentin peninsula.

If there is one place not to be missed in Normandy regarding D-Day, it is Pointe du Hoc. The place seems to have been bombed the day before, as the shell holes are still clearly visible. The bunkers are also extremely well preserved. The natural site is splendid. A statue in the shape of a dagger commemorates and honors the American rangers who on June 6, 1944 climbed the steep cliff at their own risk. In doing so, they managed to neutralize the German gunners.
