Little info from the internet:
The church in Schneeren in its current form is probably the third church on the same site, built in 1724 - this is indicated by the inscription above the north entrance.
In 1792, the steeple of our church was destroyed by lightning and was only replaced by a new tower with a clock in 1913.
The wooden pulpit dates from the 17th century, so it is older than the current church. This also applies to the baptismal bowl, which bears an inscription from 1641.
The octagonal sandstone baptismal font was donated in 1729.
The wooden top of the altar was made in 1780.
The organ was built around 1845 by the Meyer brothers from Hanover, with 17 registers in two manuals and a pedal.
In 1953 the outside of the church was renovated. Inside, the priests and galleries were removed. Later the benches were replaced by chairs.
In 1988 the church was named “Church of the Good Shepherd”.
