    Great photo spot. This bridge joins the old city to the new residential development over the river in Bathwick and was dreamed up by architect Thomas Baldwin. The development initially did not take off as it was fraught with financial crisis after crisis but eventually was completed in 1789.

        This is built in a Palladian style and is one of only 4 bridges in the world with shops down both sides. Enjoy a Coffee with a view in The Bridge Coffee shop.

          Brilliant bridge with small shops on it, similar to the Ponte Vecchio in Florence. Only here in Bath are cars allowed to drive over it.

            This is a highlight not so much for the beverages that are for sale but the view from the tables. This is in the middle of Pultney Bridge and overlooks the weir. It is a favourite of our as we enjoy the views.

              The Pultney Bridge reminds me of the Krämerbrücke in Erfurt, which is also built with houses on both sides - very beautiful!

                    Pulteney Bridge is a bridge over the River Avon in Bath, England. It was completed by 1774, and connected the city with the land of the Pulteney family which it wished to develop. Designed by Robert Adam in a Palladian style, it is highly unusual in that it has shops built across its full span on both sides.
