The mill was built in Tschausdorf-Plau (today Poland) east of Guben in 1707 and the dismantled parts of the mill were transported to Hoyerswerda by rail in 1920. Here they were brought to Dörgenhausen by horse and cart and rebuilt at their current location.

The listed mill from the year 1707 we are now cared for by a non-profit association. Beautiful well maintained complex on the outskirts of Hoyerswerda. Excellent rest opportunities for cyclists and hikers against a historical backdrop.
