At the point here the swimming lake on one side. There is also a biotope in the development phase: the Echinger Weiher. The area is surrounded by a fence so that no one accidentally interferes in the plants' struggles for the best place. At first glance, this undramatic fight is accompanied by the nearby A9 with music that is also not prone to ecstasy.

The Echinger lake (also: Ellwanger lake) is a bathing lake in the municipality Eching. The lake was originally a quarry pond, which was created due to gravel extraction in the 1960s. In the 1980s, this was extended to sunbathing, walking paths and areas for quiet recovery to the lake. The lake is a maximum of 17 m deep and its shore is about 1.7 km long. The recreational area is about 33 hectares (ha), of which the lake covers 12.6 ha. The lawns have an area of 7.0 ha. The area offers beach volleyball courts, table tennis courts, sand playgrounds and circular hiking trails. It is also near the municipal recreational area. In addition, there is a small biotope in the south of the bathing lake.

For the physical well-being a sales kiosk with a small beer garden provides. With two parking lots and a total of around 800 parking spaces enough parking is provided. During the bathing season (from 15 May to 15 September of each year) public toilets are available.
