Founding (1870): Conrad Binding founded the brewery in 1870 at Garküchenplatz in Frankfurt's old town.
Relocation & Rise (1881): Due to rapid growth, the brewery moved in 1881 to its current location on Sachsenhäuser Berg, which remained the heart of the company until 2023.
Expansion (20th Century): In 1921, Binding merged with Schöfferhof-Bürgerbräu to form "Schöfferhof Binding Bürgerbräu AG." The brand developed into the leading brewery in Frankfurt and the surrounding region.
Oetker Group (from 1952/53): Dr. August Oetker KG acquired a majority stake, making the brewery part of today's Radeberger Group.
