Great walk starting in the village of Howth. You can walk along the coast/cliffs on well marked pathes - the different routes all start the same and then split depending on length. Especially the first part can be pretty crowded, so expect to walk in line when the weather is good in weekends.

Beautiful path along the cliffs of Howth. There are 4 signposted (circular) hiking trails from the harbor, which are of different length. Partly the way is quite narrow.

We went to one of the harbors already designated on the harbor, there is a map with the different circular routes. We opted for the red one. The path is very well marked and very varied, along the cliffs along with great views - was well populated, on a Monday in great weather - then, after a view of the lighthouse at the top of the inland over the mountain, narrow paths through Forest, through heathland and a part along the road (here is hardly anyone long). With photo and other breaks, the hike took 2 1/2 hours. It goes up and down, on stony, but solid ground. In dry weather no problem and also for inexperienced good to handle.
A highlight in any case!
