    The listed building is intended to commemorate the fallen gymnasts of the Turngau Rhein-Limburg in the two world wars, which belongs to the Palatine Turnerbund. Every year on the feast of Ascension Day a mountain gymnastics festival takes place at the Turnerehrenmal.

                This special memorial from 1928 consists of 8 pillars that form a common circle at the top and a sacrificial stone in the middle.
                The names of the fallen gymnasts [number: 1018] were listed separately for each club and walled into the sacrificial table in a brass box that was soldered shut. The following inscription is on the sacrificial stone:
                "To his gymnast brothers who fell in the World War 1914-18, Rhein-Limburg-Gau of the D.T."
