In 1419, Hans von Königsegg, son of Eberhard, sold the Hatzenturm castle and the Wolpertswende parish to the Heilig-Geist-Spital Ravensburg. The 18 meter high tower (keep) of the tower castle has a base of 9 by 9 meters and a wall thickness of 2.50 meters.
