What to do on an intermittently rainy day when there are two hours until dinner time?... a walk in the woods at the foot of the Gran Paradiso mountains, observing and photographing plants, flowers and insects.

Dinner at the Tètras Lyre refuge, reachable on foot from the square of Pont Valsavarenche in about fifteen minutes. Located in a clearing in the heart of a larch forest, it offers typically Aosta Valley cuisine.

From the Tètras Lyre refuge, it is possible to undertake the climb to the Vittorio Emanuele II refuge, located on the Gran Paradiso massif at an altitude of 2735 metres, a not too demanding climb among woods and rushing streams.
