              On June 14, 2012, a viewing tower was opened on Götzer Berg. The foundation stone was laid on October 12, 2011. The tower, made of galvanized steel, is 42.15 m high and has a viewing platform at a height of 27 m.
              From there, you can overlook the beautiful landscape from Brandenburg to Potsdam.
              Be careful when descending in a north-easterly direction, only for professionals, everyone else should dismount as there are steps and roots.

                  For all the mountain bikers. There are three quick descents from the viewing tower. Ride past the picnic table and you will see the first short trail starts off a little steeper. At the bottom you have a fast right turn into some surfy sand. At the end of this section (maybe 300 m) you reach a junction. If you take the diagonal line off into the forest (kind of to the right) you will hit another cool little section of windy (though non-technical) single track. More fun riding up this part actually but towards the end there are some faster roller coaster like sections. The second line is off the backside into a short but really fun bit of tech trail. At the end you can turn left to start climbing and meet up with the single track described earlier at the end of the surfy section. The most challenging part to climb as well as it is a little rooty and steep enough to be a great work-out. Technical enough to be a fun climb and reasonable training for steeper areas such as Harz (or even some Austrian climbs) as the grade is similar. The last is the way most commonly used by people visiting the tower. If you stay left you have a little drop and a nice bunny hop over a log. Everything is over fast as the area is certainly topographically challenged but better than nothing. Also, never assume you are the only one on the trail and watch out for logs that can be laid across the trails by what I assume are grumpy locals. Have fun and stay safe.
