Here, one of the former popes banished his brother from the lower-lying Villa Cetinale to the hermitage. The building can only be viewed from the outside, but still worth seeing. The view is phenomenal.

And with this hermitage as a background there is a movie. We immediately recognized the building. The film is called "Vow of the Heart". You can look it up on You Tube. We came here on a wonderful hike from Ancaiano over the Villa Cetinale and just this hermitage. A wonderful circuit, highly recommended.
