The St. Nikolai Church in St. Peter-Ording was built in 1724 and is one of the youngest religious houses among the Eiderstedter churches.
The church is located in the immediate vicinity of the Ordinger dike, where it goes to the North Sea beach of St. Peter-Ording. In the past centuries, it had to be rebuilt several times because the buildings were buried on the beach by dunes. Today's St. Nikolai church has a very bright and friendly altar room with a curved wooden ceiling, which has a particularly beautiful painting.
