            Handcar fun in Ammerland: Westerstede – Ocholt

            With the handcar through Ammerland: 12 bicycle handcars and three club handcars for up to 16 people are ready for handcar fun in Ammerland. Between Westerstede and Ocholt, parents and children travel 7 km on the rails, enjoy the park landscape and have a picnic in between. Reservation is recommended! [from 5 years]

            The Ammerland draisine fun begins at the draisine station in Westerstede.

            During the ride with the handcar from Westerstede to Ocholt, you can discover a lot and take a few breaks. It all starts at the handcar station in the Böhlje tree nursery. You register at the renovated historic gatekeeper's house and can board the rail vehicle immediately afterwards. At the start at the handcar station, the "technology" is also explained.

            Several stops along the 7 km long route invite you to dismount. Here you can enjoy a picnic you have brought with you, but you can also go on small excursions.
