In 2020, the owner of the prominent property near the high bridge was given recommendations regarding the development process for the neighborhood. These recommendations related to both a building permit application for the existing building and necessary preliminary investigations, for example, regarding the traffic access to a new neighborhood. These preliminary investigations are not yet available, but are mandatory for the required development plan procedure.
A preliminary building permit applied for by the developer to convert the existing "Wismaria" building to residential use at the end of 2022 was granted.
The extensions and new buildings on the site requested by the developer could not be approved due to the current lack of building rights, as this would require a planning procedure (B-Plan procedure). The administration has provided guidance and recommendations in this regard.
The developer has filed a lawsuit against the preliminary building permit with the Administrative Court.
