The oldest components can be traced back to the early 16th century. During military attacks, the church was partially destroyed by fire and the top of the tower was shot at with a cannonball.

The church has a wide nave, with many ship models.

The chapel has been a listed building since March 4, 1935. This low chapel is 25 m long and 13.5 m wide. In Logonna stone, it has a nave that extends into a choir and a sacristy to the north-east. The two aisles each have 4 arches (full arch and pointed arch). After the fire of 1910, the framework was rebuilt in the shape of an inverted hull by François Keraudren, shipbuilder, paneled and painted blue. François-Joseph Keraudren also designed the chair in 1914-1915. The large round-arched window was bricked up to protect it from flying pebbles during storms. The three doors have a Kersanton granite surround. Surrounded by the sea because it is located on the furrow of Camaret (a natural gravel dike), this chapel has suffered serious damage twice in its height: first by the English in 1694, including a cannonball that decapitated the bell tower (remained as it was), then in 1910 during a fire that devastated its roof.
