Predilpass section between Log pod Mangartom and the border. From Log pod Mangartom it becomes significantly steeper. The topping is pretty good. About halfway up the climb there is a small village where you can fill up your water bottle at a well. With great views of the Koritnica valley, it is no longer that steep to the branch to Mangart. Past the beautifully situated Predel fortress shortly before the pass, it is not far from there.

Predil is very nice to drive, as a not excessively steep driveway for the Mangart. There, however, a pretty steep torture begins - which, however, rewards you with grandiose views.

It‘s not worth leaving out Mangart saddle. It should be the whole thing in combination. I would definitely recommend the tour clockwise from Vršič via Mangart saddle and Predil down and jumping into the cold lake.
