Vratca pass, also called Bogatinsko sedlo (1803 m), between Vrh nad Gracijo (1916 m) in the north and Bogatin (1977 m) in the south is an important crossroads of mountain trails: it is 30 minutes to Bogatin, to Mahavšček (2008 m) 1 h and to Lanževica (2003 m) 1 h. From the pass we can see the typically shaped Krn, and we have a beautiful view back to the Komna plateau, to the crown of the Lower Bohinj Mountains, to Pršivec, Tičarica and part of the Triglav Lakes Valley, and to the Karavanke peaks in the north and the Kamnik Alps in the east. The state border, reminiscent of an Italian fortress, ran across Vratsa between the two world wars.
