Val-Dieu Abbey is located in the geographical center of the Meuse-Rhine Euregion, 25 km from Liège, Maastricht and Aachen. The abbey, whose origins date back to the 13th century, is now run by the Christian community of Val-Dieu."

Brewing is still done here according to the old recipes of the monks. The brewery produces beers that undergo secondary fermentation in the bottle. These are authentic Belgian abbey beers that do not contain any added flavorings or spices and are made using the traditional infusion method.
