From the documents preserved in the archive of the Basilica of San Nicola di Bari, it is clear that the Abbey of San Lorenzo originated before 984 AD. as a Benedictine center, today only the church remains. The main facade has a small door with shaped jambs on which a porch with a niche protrudes, in addition there is a small bell gable. The interior consists of a single-celled room with a rectangular plan measuring 3.56 x 12.40 meters. At the rear protrudes a small semicircular apse while the internal vault is barrel-vaulted.
