It's not the northernmost point of the main island, it's on the Rífstangi Peninsula. However, both points separate only a few meters. A hike to the lighthouse is still an exciting experience. It literally goes over hill and dale. A bit adventurous but definitely doable. When you finally arrive, you are only about 3km away from the Arctic Circle. A strange feeling creeps up on you in this deserted area.
