The rich presbytery area of Gubbio Cathedral is particularly admirable: on the choir is the bishop's seat, carved in the sixteenth century, under the main altar a precious late antique sarcophagus stores the remains of the two titular saints of the cathedral, to the left of the altar there is another seat, the is decorated with beautiful inlays by Benedetto Nucci. and finally, on the triumphal arch of the apse, you can admire the murals by Augusto Stoppoloni (1916-18).

The cathedral, dedicated to Saints Marian and Jacob, was built at the foot of Monte Ingino on a Romanesque church, the remains of which can be seen on the right side of the facade, between the 13th and 14th centuries.
Built in the century. Above the pointed arch portal is a round window decorated with an elegant band of leaves and surrounded by the symbols of the Evangelists and the Paschal Lamb. The interior consists of a nave in the shape of a Latin cross supported by ten large transverse pointed arches.
