Former sovereign castle. Probably towards the end of the 14th century under Count Engelbert III. built by the Mark. In the 17th/18th Century called "courtyard to the kitchen". In the 19th/20th structurally altered over the centuries. since 1936 location of the local history museum, today the Hellweg Museum. (Text on the information board at the museum)

The Hellweg Museum, opened in 1928, is the museum for the history of the city of Unna. However, the topic of mining only plays a marginal role in the exhibitions. The collection of around 300 objects, including documents and photographs, comes primarily from the Massen, Königsborn and Heinrich Robert mines.
