On Germany's first quality "Family Fun" trail, you follow the tracks of the wildcat about 6 kilometers up and down, often on narrow footpaths and over stepping stones through a small river, past ten interactive stations. There you can learn all sorts of things about this secret inhabitant of our forests.

Meeting a real wild cat in the forest is very unlikely these days. The animals are among the last big cats in Europe and are extremely shy. You can only see them if you are very lucky. The Wild Cat Trail provides insight into the habitat and dangers these rare animals face. You are very close to the wild cat on the exciting path. Over hill and dale, through sometimes wild, sometimes tamer terrain, you follow the signposted path to ten adventure stations and learn a lot about the wild cat.

Directions
The trail is signposted from the starting point in front of the Oberes Gaistal ski home. It goes on adventurous forest paths to the Alb crossing and at adventure stations back to the Skiheim Talwiese.
