The view during the ascent is fantastic and the ascent in itself a real challenge, after which you are quite broken, but also very proud! You can either take the stairs or, as we do, the more difficult path to the right.

The Sherpa Stairs lead directly up to Ulriken, the highest of the seven mountains surrounding Bergen. The stone steps were constructed by Nepalese Sherpas using traditional methods and facilitate the ascent over the otherwise steep terrain.
