The Cité Blanche is a former workers' settlement of the Lafarge cement factory from 1880. It is now largely abandoned and is a listed building. If the sources are to be believed, there is probably only one resident left in the settlement today (2021). I myself could make out a small, improvised artists' gallery in the walls at the end of the street - who knows, maybe that's his quarters. Incidentally, the Cité Blanche served as the backdrop for the 2009 film Adieu Gary by Nassim Amaouche. No big surprise, because it is an impressive scenery that you drive through here - almost like driving through a film.

The 'cite blanche' is a pretty funky place, pretty gray even in the sunshine, and yet not without charm. Especially in contrast to the cement works next to it. My first thought: great scenery for a Rammstein concert. This place should not be missing in the "lost places" collection. It looks different though...
