Beautifully located in the middle of the mountains. Very clean water quality, the blue and, depending on the light, green water is reminiscent of a deserted island far away.
It's just a shame that so much space is not accessible to everyone, as hotels or the rich have access to the water. For me it's not even about the holidaymakers but about the local population. They have a beautiful, large lake, but in order to bathe or swim in it you have to go to a lido. Very nice ambience at dusk, no matter where you are on the lake

The lake is divided into three basins by islands, peninsulas and submarine sills. The western basin extends from Velden to Pörtschach, the middle one from Pörtschach to Maria Wörth, and the eastern one from Maria Wörth to Klagenfurt. The deepest point of the Wörthersee is 85.2 m, the mean depth is 41.9 m.
