The power plant went into operation in 1963[2] and is part of the Offingen Danube barrage at river kilometer 2556.37. The power plant, which is equipped with two turbine sets, is designed for a water volume of 210 m³/s.[1] Two Kaplan turbines drive two generators with a nominal output of around 3.7 megawatts each, with a corresponding standard power capacity of the power plant of 42.6 million kWh per year. The weir of the barrage consists of three fields and the power house on the right. There is a boat lane on the left bank.
