Very nice, unique hut, but you should be in good physical condition and absolutely sure-footed for the ascent. The last piece over the snow field and the via ferrata should not be underestimated.

This hut should be climbed only by or with experienced mountain walks, as the ascent leads over a glacier foothills and not always a trail is available. In addition, an accurate knowledge of the current weather conditions should be available to ensure a safe descent.

If you don't want to climb to the summit, you can stop at the Schwarzensteinhütte and admire the beautiful new hut and enjoy one of their delicious dishes.
