In North Wales’ Clwydian Range lies Moel Arthur, a prominent, heather-clad hill. Reaching 1,496 feet (456 m), it’s a particularly manageable ascent and great for every ability. There’s an Iron Age hillfort covering the hilltop, with significant earthwork banks still very visible. It’s part of a string of hillforts in the range, and you can clearly see why this prominent position is a good place for a fortification.

Car park on either side of Moel Arthur if it's a shorter walk your looking for

Moel Arthur is on the quieter side of the Clwydian range. It has a small car park, albeit a little off the beaten track. It's a great place to start your walks from and will lead you to some lovely views almost immediately.
