The chapel in Großseeham, built in 1733 in honor of St. Francis Xavier, commemorates those who died of the plague in 1633 from Großseeham (36 adults and 16 young people) and Kleinseeham (28 adults and 12 young people).
Due to secularization, the chapel, which once belonged to the Weyarn monastery, came into the possession of the community - then Holzolling. Since then, the Seeham village community has been taking care of its preservation with a lot of their own work. Extensive renovations were carried out on the chapel in 1933, 1959, 1986 and 2017.
