The hut stands on a lookout clearing north-east of Klopni vrh. The pre-war mountain hut was burnt down by partisans in 1941 in order to prevent the occupier from setting up his outpost there. In the same year, the first open battle took place near the hut, in which the fighters of the Pohorje company defeated the Germans for the first time, as the monument reminds us. Unfortunately, the hut does not work.
Views:
From the hut there is a beautiful view to the north-east side of Ruše and part of Maribor, in other directions a wider view is closed by hills. In front of the hut, on the remains of the basement floor of the villa burned down during the war, there is a viewing terrace.
