A pretty lake with a mountain next to it. At the top of the mountain you have a great and wide view! The path up the mountain is quite bumpy, so you should try it on foot or by MTB with a little experience. ;)

The lake, which is approximately eight hectares in size and up to nine meters deep, was created in 1982. In the 1960s, a sand and gravel pit was created in the Hummelsbüttler Feldmark. Additional sand pits were added at the beginning of the 1970s.
After the dredging was completed, the pits were filled, i.e. H. used as a landfill. One of the pits remained partially open. The area in question formed the basis for the creation of the Hummelsee. The lake is now used as a local recreation area. There are green landfill areas on its edge.
Various species of fish are found in Hummelsee. The lake is one of the leased waters of the Hamburg Fishing Association. v.
