A beautiful sandstone boulder with bright yellow lettering points the way to the Wassertalbrunnen (Water Valley Fountain), formerly known as the "Three-Pipe Fountain."
The signpost is really necessary, because there's currently no marked trail down to the Wassertalbrunnen, although there is a small yellow sign from the Palatinate Forest Association along the way with the current name, "Wassertalbrunnen."
The path down to the fountain is quite steep towards the end! And since there's no path continuing from the fountain, you have to climb all the way back up the hill (steeply)!

The Wassertalbrunnen fountain complex was redesigned in 2020 by the team led by A. Kuhn from Esthal. They also installed the signpost at the top of the road from Elmstein to Weidenthal.
