Partly very bad tarmac (broken, chippings, some bad potholes) but a fantastic breathtaking view and every pothole worth. The slope gradient is not so sheer (I guess max 10%, more less).
Partly very bad asphalt (broken, a lot of grit, nasty potholes but a breathtaking view that is worth every pothole. The incline is not that bad, I'd guess a maximum of 10%, rather less.

This is the E19 road climb, if you can call it a road! As stated by others, it’s in pretty bad condition. You have to be careful on the curves and stay to the right. There is not much traffic, but what there is, is often in the middle of the road.
The road down/up to Pinilla is a bit of a rollercoaster and you have more than 80M of ascent/descent, but you are in the wilds with almond trees everywhere, beautiful in late January when they are in bloom.
