This little detour is worthwhile when hiking the Lahnhöhentour. The path is paved, but you save yourself an ascent and descent and you can cool your feet in the treading pool or take a break at the Schlinketeich on a shady bench. In the appropriate season you can observe amphibians wonderfully.
