Dobrča is a shoulder mountain in the western part of the Kamnik and Savinja Alps. In the south it rises steeply above the Gorenjska plain, in the east and southeast there is a deep valley of Mošenik, and on the west side there is the valley of Draga. In the north, it is connected by a transverse ridge with Begunjščica and Karavanke. It is built of Triassic limestone. It is mostly overgrown with forest, but there are also extensive mountains and meadows in between. The most suitable access from Koča na Dobrči is over Podgorska planina 30 minutes. From the top there is a beautiful view of the Kamnik and Savinja Alps, the Karavanke, the Julian Alps, Ratitovec, Porezen, the Škofja Loka hills, the Gorenjska plain from Jesenice to Šmarna gora and the Posavje hills.
