It is a church that can often be found in this architectural style.
Neo-Gothic hall church, previous building demolished in 1901, remaining tower stump from 1766.
Cross-shaped hall with surrounding galleries,
with parts of the old equipment, frescoes in the chancel, old stained glass windows.
1938 renewal of interior painting and 1977 extensive renovation and refurbishment.

From afar you can already see the towering, pointed tower of the Evangelical Church of Schnathorst. It was built in 1901/02 as a cruciform hall church in the neo-Gothic style based on plans by the architect Karl Siebold. It replaced a previous church from 1766 that was dilapidated at the time, of which only the lower part of the tower has survived. A church was first built on this site in 1572. The interior of the church should also be worth seeing (peripheral galleries, frescoes in the choir, old glass windows), but unfortunately the church is usually closed outside of church service times.
