The St. Elisabeth Chapel is a chapel in Tangermünde, now used as a concert and exhibition hall. The building is also known as the Salt Church.
The brick chapel was built in the second half of the 15th century. A hospital was originally attached to the south side of the chapel, but was destroyed in a city fire in 1617.
The chapel was then used as a royal salt warehouse, which gave it the nickname "Salt Church," which it still bears today. In the 18th century, the building housed the Tangermünde garrison's storage room.
In 1891, the Catholic community purchased the chapel. After some renovation work, the chapel was used as a place of worship again until 1926.
It was then used sporadically for occasional celebrations.
From the mid-1950s, the chapel served as a storage room.
From 1992 to 1997, an extensive and costly renovation took place.

Since then, the chapel has been used as a concert and exhibition hall.
