The Liliental am Kaiserstuhl lies between Ihringen and Wasenweiler. It is known for a variety of native and exotic trees and shrubs. The area was bought by the Forestry Experimental and Research Institute in 1957/58 and is also open to nature lovers to explore and marvel at at any time of the year through many beautiful hiking trails.
The Liliental restaurant is a good starting and meeting point, and there is also the opportunity for the little ones to let off steam in the playground. There is sufficient parking space for visitors in the parking lot. Directly behind it, various well-developed hiking trails lead through the Kaiserstuhl area, where you can enjoy the peace and quiet of nature. You can also learn something from the information boards on trees.
Here, heroic sequoia trees stand next to wild orchids and rare plants. A collection of around 350 different tree species and, among other things, around 20 different orchids (flowering period from May to August) can be found here.
The Liliental am Kaiserstuhl is characterized by its play and refreshment opportunities as well as the various hiking trails leading to a popular local recreation area.
