Former Carthusian monastery, founded in the 14th century, abolished under Joseph II in 1782. Baroque monastery church, cloister, prelate court. Today owned by the Republic of Austria - information and training center for monument preservation of the Federal Monuments Office. Guided tour every Sunday (see also Lower Austria Card).

Very beautiful monastery complex, which is used by the Federal Monuments Office (BDA) as a test site for restoration work. Highly recommended is the annual monument day or the day of the open charterhouse, where on the one hand the facility can be visited and on the other hand working with a wide variety of materials is brought closer to you.
